There are various causes of landslide. The most important one is the elevation data. Many parameters can be derived from elevation data. These data are known as terrain variables.
Land use data can be derived from satellite data such as Landsat, Sentinel and Modis. Landsat data have been taken for last three decades at a resolution of 30m. These data can be quite useful to analyze land use changes. Recently, Sentinel satellite operated by European satellite agency provide high resolution data (10m) for free.
